This guide explains how to create the lag indicators you want to track in Safe365. Lag indicators record what has already happened in your business, for example injury or incident counts, lost time, days since a recordable event, or your own internal measures. You create each indicator once, define what it measures and the unit it is recorded in, then record values against it over time. Every indicator you create becomes available to plot on the change over time graph.

This helps tell and show your Safety Culture Maturity story, with Maturity increasing and harm reducing over time.

  1. Click into the 'Organisation Profile'
  2. Expand the ‘Metrics’ section
  3. Here you can choose to use a System Metric, or create your own.
    1. To use a system Metric, select this, and click Save at the bottom of the page.
  4. to Create your own Metric, enter in the Metric name and description
  5. Enter the likely minimum and maximum scale for this. These do not need to be absolute, as they inform the scale used on the graph
